Si invertimos el proceso aplicando una presi\u00f3n en el tubo de la soluci\u00f3n m\u00e1s concentrada, el movimiento se produce desde esta hacia la m\u00e1s diluida Para ello hay que ejercer al menos una presi\u00f3n suficiente para vencer la presi\u00f3n osm\u00f3tica de la soluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>En la pr\u00e1ctica, sin embargo, no es necesario vencer la presi\u00f3n osm\u00f3tica<br \/>de la soluci\u00f3n de alimentaci\u00f3n, sino solo la diferencia de presi\u00f3n<br \/>osm\u00f3tica entre las soluciones de alimentaci\u00f3n y producto. Esta presi\u00f3n<br \/>depende del flujo de agua a trav\u00e9s de la membrana y cambia de cero<br \/>hasta un l\u00edmite dado por las caracter\u00edsticas de la membrana.<br \/>Con las membranas reales puede producirse flujo con diferencias de<br \/>presi\u00f3n que son peque\u00f1as comparadas con la presi\u00f3n osm\u00f3ticas de la<br \/>soluci\u00f3n de alimentaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; En la filtraci\u00f3n todo el caudal atraviesa el elemento separador, que impide \u00fanicamente el paso de part\u00edculas s\u00f3lidas de un determinado tama\u00f1o.<br \/><strong>2<\/strong>. En la osmosis inversa en cambio, solo una parte del caudal de alimentaci\u00f3n atraviesa la membrana constituyendo el producto, mientras el resto es eliminado sin atravesar la membrana y constituye el<br \/>rechazo.<br \/><strong>3<\/strong>. En la osmosis inversa no se produce la acumulaci\u00f3n del material separado sobre la superficie de la membrana, como ocurre en otro proceso, pues precisamente el rechazo produce el arrastre de dicho material.<br \/><strong>4<\/strong>. Pero tambi\u00e9n existen diferencias entre<br \/>osmosis\u00a0 y ultra filtraci\u00f3n.
